Council as BOA
12-21-98
Page 5
Eunice Kalina, 469 Blueberry Circle, said with the original site, the back of the shed would hit
people in the face as they walked to her front door. She suggested to Mr. Carney that he move it
into the railroad tie area and he did.
Mrs. Cinco asked if she has any objection to the revised proposal.
Mrs. Kalina said none whatsoever.
Mrs. Cinco asked why this request came to Council.
Mr. Samac explained the Board of Zoning Appeals denied the original request. The revised
proposal did not go before the BZA; it only came to Council in the form of an appeal of the
BZA's decision with the modification.
Mrs. Cinco expressed her reservation about overriding the Board of Appeals.
Council President Fixler said they have modified their original proposal and we did not want it to
go back and forth. He asked Mr. Samac if he felt the Board of Appeals might be inclined to
approve the revised location.
Mr. Samac said he believed so.
Council President Fixler asked if there were any objections from any neighbor.
Mr. Carney said he had not received any objections.

Mr. Samac said we had notified them in writing of tonight's meeting. They received a copy of
the revised proposal and a map.
Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to override the Board of Appeals' decision to
grant a variance to Mr. Carney for his shed at 6759 Hickory Hill Drive with the contingency that
the revised plans (as discussed this evening) are used.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Variance Granted
ADJOURNMENT
Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adjourn.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
