Regular Council Meeting <br />12/21/98 <br />Page 2 <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Council President Fixler said Mayor Rinker was not here this evening. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT FIXLER <br />Council President Fixler said he had no comments. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman reported the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony went well. <br />The next event will be the Appreciation Dinner on February 13, 1999. Everyone will receive <br />invitations soon. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the board met December 10, 1998. They <br />approved an addition and the color scheme of the materials for the new municipal pool. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Cemetery - Dr. Parker said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board -Mrs. Cinco said the Board met November 23, 1998. They discussed <br />their Mission Statement and their purpose in the Village as a Board. She has not received any <br />minutes since that meeting. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa read the report submitted by Mrs. Kalina. A copy of the <br />report is attached to the minutes. <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported the committee met this evening. They <br />recommended approval of items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Regarding item 6, they discussed this and <br />recommend the legislation go on first reading this evening, pending some possible additonal <br />negotiation. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said there was no report. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills said they had a lovely holiday buffet. The house was open <br />yesterday for the holidays. There will be no meeting until February. They will send out some <br />literature regarding this in January. <br />M.A.R.C -Mrs. Cinco said the committee met December 12, 1998. All programs are <br />up and running. <br />
