Regular Council Meeting 12/21/98 Page 2 COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER Council President Fixler said Mayor Rinker was not here this evening. COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT FIXLER Council President Fixler said he had no comments. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman reported the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony went well. The next event will be the Appreciation Dinner on February 13, 1999. Everyone will receive invitations soon. Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the board met December 10, 1998. They approved an addition and the color scheme of the materials for the new municipal pool. Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. Cemetery - Dr. Parker said there was no report. Citizen's Advisory Board -Mrs. Cinco said the Board met November 23, 1998. They discussed their Mission Statement and their purpose in the Village as a Board. She has not received any minutes since that meeting. Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa read the report submitted by Mrs. Kalina. A copy of the report is attached to the minutes. Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported the committee met this evening. They recommended approval of items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Regarding item 6, they discussed this and recommend the legislation go on first reading this evening, pending some possible additonal negotiation. Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said there was no report. Historical Society -Mrs. Mills said they had a lovely holiday buffet. The house was open yesterday for the holidays. There will be no meeting until February. They will send out some literature regarding this in January. M.A.R.C -Mrs. Cinco said the committee met December 12, 1998. All programs are up and running.
