Regular Council Meeting <br />8-16-99 <br />Page 8 <br />A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $ 7,500 for a change order to King <br />Excavating to incorporate the demolition of the old club house at Parkview~ into their wetlands <br />work contract <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed $7,500 <br />for a change order to King Excavating. <br />(Note: The actual motion made was not to exceed; the agenda incorrectly read in the amount of.) <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Buckholtz said we were going to find out if that amount includes hauling away. <br />Chief Mohr said the utilities have been contacted. The earliest they can be gone is September 13. <br />Cleveland Water will pull their meter. <br />Mayor Rinker said the potential abatement may impact those times. <br />Dr. Parker asked if the building could be used for firefighter training. <br />Chief Mohr said they can't torch it because it is too close to the street and utility lines. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $ 290,995.28 from the Sewer Relief <br />Fund for the Village's portion of the North County Line Sewer Assessments <br />Mr. Buckholtz, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$ 290,995.28 from the Sewer Relief Fund for the Village's portion of the North County Line Sewer <br />Assessments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 99-12, entitled; "A Resolution declaring the necessity of renewing <br />by levy a tax in excess of the 10-mill limitation and submitting the same to the electorate of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Buckholtz, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 99-12. <br />Mr. Brett said this is a renewal; it would not cause an increase in the tax rate. It is technically not <br />due to be on the ballot until next year but in the past we have put it on the ballot in November of the <br />
