Regular Council Meeting <br />8-16-99 <br />Page 9 <br />prior year as a safety measure. (If it would fail, we would have the ability to put it on in March or <br />November ofthe-following year.) The last time this levy was on the ballot it passed by almost a two <br />to one margin. <br />Dr. Parker asked how many dollars this represents. <br />Mr. Brett said about $250,000. <br />Mrs. Roman questioned if there should be a roll call on suspension of rules. <br />Everyone said no suspension was necessary. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ilacqua, Mr. Marquardt, and Dr. Parker <br />NAYS: Mr. Busa Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Dr. Parker said let the electorate decide. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 99-26, entitled; "An emergency ordinance to approve current <br />replacement pages to the Mayfield Village Codified Ordinances." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Buckholtz, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br /> <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Buckholtz, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 99-26. <br />Mr. Busa said he does not remember passing legislation like this before. <br />Several members of Council said legislation had been passed in prior years. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"New Business" only. <br />
