<br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />September 13, 1999 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, September 13, 1999, at 8:00 <br />p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill <br />Marquardt presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ilacqua, <br />Mr. Marquardt, and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Mrs. Mills <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, <br />Mr. Samac, Chief Stevens, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Roman <br />1 <br /> <br />Mr. Brett explained this is a rollover of the notes we initially issued to purchase the .golf <br />course, we are also financing wetlands preservation and the signalization. (They are separate <br />ordinances.) The reason we are going with separate note issues is that as we pay down on the <br />purchase of the property, it gives more leeway with a percentage of the property to do with as we <br />please without running into I.R.S. restrictions. <br />Mr. Brett presented the Fiscal Officer's Certificate to Mayor Rinker and Council for <br />Ordinance 99-29. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 99-29, entitled; "An ordinance to provide for the issuance and <br />sale of $4,100,000 of notes of Mayfield Village, Ohio, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds to <br />pay costs of acquiring certain real estate together with the existing buildings and other structures <br />located thereon and any related equipment and certain other real estate for recreational purposes, <br />and declaring an emergency." Introduced -by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 99-29. <br />Council president Marquardt asked if there were any further comments. <br />Mayor Rinker asked Mr. Brett to clarify the distinction between this year's 4.1 million and last <br />year's 4.475. <br />
