Regular Council Meeting <br />11-15-99 <br />Page 2 <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Paul Matias as a full-time patrolman. <br />COMMENTS. FROM COUNCIL PRESIpENT MARQUARDT <br />Council President Marquardt asked Mrs. Roman Council's schedule for December and January. <br />Mrs. Roman said the usual schedule was to have the Caucus on the first Monday; the Regular <br />Meeting on the 3`d Monday. <br />Council President Marquardt asked Council's preference for the December meeting. (December <br />13 or 20.) <br />Dr. Parker said he can't make it on the 20~'. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if anyone had any objection to meeting December 13. <br />There were no objections. <br />The Council Caucus will be held on December 3`d. The Regular Meeting will be held on <br />December 13. <br />Discussion was held about the January dates. (There are 5 Mondays in January; Martin Luther <br />King Day is on the third Monday.) <br />Council President Marquardt said the Organizational Council Meeting will be held January 3, <br />2000. The Regular Meeting will be held January 24. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Metzung said the leaf machine is down. It will be repaired by mid-week. <br />Mr. Samac said at the Progressive site, Building 3 will be coming out of the ground in early <br />January or February. The Data Building is also going to begin construction within the next week <br />or so. <br />Chief Mohr said 11 people, all M.V. residents, attended a CPR class last Saturday. Pursuant to <br />the hydrant maintenance program conducted this Fall, we found 18 hydrants out of service. <br />Cleveland Water was notified and is already starting to make repairs. The worst one is on <br />Derby. The hydrants in the Worton Park area have been repainted. (All hydrants are now red.) <br />Mr. Thomas said the Winter Parks & Recreation brochure will be mailed to all homes tomorrow. <br />We have 3 travel MBA teams. (He cited their grade levels and play schedules.) The teen <br />advisory board will reconvene in December at the High School. He put a memo in everyone's <br />
