Regular Council Meeting 12-13-99 Page 18 There were none. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Authorization given for the placement of an underground bike passage in the south section of the S.O.M. Center Road widening project. A motion to authorize the placement of an underground bike passage in the north section of the S.O.M. Center Road widening project Council President Marquardt said he might elaborate that he is not sure that this one, based on our discussions at Caucus, will be feasible but it was in our original plan and the engineer needs a go ahead to at least determine whether or not there is a feasibility of this one. Mr. Ilacqua, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize the placement of an underground bike passage in the north section of the S.O.M. Center Road widening project. Council President Marquardt asked for discussion. Mr. Buckholtz said so by approving it now, if it does turn out that it wouldn't work as well as the other one or was cost prohibitive, we could always back away. Council President Marquardt said yes. This allows him to go ahead with his planning process and investigate these options. Council President Marquardt asked if there were any additional comments. There were none. A motion to authorize the release of retainage in the amount of $18,738.85 to Dynalink for the installation of the street lighting along North Commons Boulevard and in the Parkview Pool parking lot. Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to authorize the release of retainage in the amount of $18,738.85 to Dynalink. Council President Marquardt asked for discussion. 1
