So now the Village is going to expedite moving <br />long-standing residents OUT of this Village in the name of <br />°°traffic calming and esthetics". <br />And what will the Village do with these residential properties <br />once acquired? They would already have been purchased <br />because they were no longer viable as residential property. <br />Will the Village move to further develop these abandoned <br />residential properties? <br />Again, let's focus on what is important here, which is to keep <br />the grass and foliage where it belongs - in people's front yards, <br />not in the middle of a road. The Village can landscape both <br />~~' sides of SOM to enhance its beauty and to maintain a more <br />green effect. Why spend taxpayer's dollars on landscaping the <br />middle of the road. Spend the money on landscaping their <br />soon to be torn up front yards. <br />The Administration stated in the brochure dated November 19, <br />1999, that they wish to, and I quote, "preserve and even <br />enhance the residential zoning and character of SOM." That is <br />where my confusion lies. How is the residential zoning and <br />character of SOM enhanced and preserved when the ultimate <br />outcome of the obviously "preferred plan" is to further <br />encroach upon the residential and commercial property along <br />SOM.
