Five <br />lanes of roadway with a median in the middle running from <br />Wilson Mills to Highland are not needed. What will be the <br />impact on the residential property? What will happen to long- <br />standing Village commercial establishments, such as Fisher's <br />Tavern and Wanda Hedjl's flower shop? All in the name of <br />_- "reaching for a brass ring." How much frontage do you think <br />the residents living on the west side of SOM, before Highland <br />Road, have to give? I know they do not want, nor need, traffic <br />moving 35 to 45 miles per hour 20 feet from the front of their <br />homes. <br />Furthermore, six lanes of expansive roadway are not needed <br />north of Highland running to White Rd. It will have a <br />dramatic imp[-act on numerous residences and foster further <br />commercial development along the west side of SOM. A <br />Village official publicly stated that the Village would look at <br />these residential properties, in order to protect the owners, by <br />offering to purchase their homes at fair market value, if they <br />`~ <br />
