L <br />3 <br />Mr. Busa said he will be happy to serve as Council President. He asked <br />for nominations for Council President Pro Tem. <br />Mrs. Hanus, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to nominate Lawrence <br />J. Flynn as Council President Pro Tem. <br />Mr. Busa asked if there were any further nominations. <br />There were none. ' <br />Mrs. Bloom, seconded by Mr. Etzler, made a motion to close the nominations, <br />nominating Mr. Flynn as Council President Pro Tem. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Nominations Closed <br />Mr. Lawrence J. Flynn to serve as 1983 Council.President Pro Tem. ' <br />Judge Robert J. Grogan administered the Oath of Office to Mr. F1ynn as <br />1983 Council President Pro Tem. <br />Mr. Busa stated Donna Heath is substituting for Eloise Maynard as Clerk of <br />Council. Council is in the position to be at a loss for a Clerk of Council <br />as Mrs. Maynard has expressecl desire to resign her position as Clerk of <br />Council. He asked what the pleasure of Council was regarding the replacement <br />of Mrs. Maynard. <br />Mrs. Bloom said she felt the logical replacement would be Donna Heath. <br />Mr. Feneli reminded Council they have not yet received a formal resignation <br />from Mrs. Maynard and should not ma.ke_an appointment until Mrs. Maynard's <br />resignation is received in writing. . <br />Mayor Beebe stated he was confident Mrs. Maynard would write said letter, <br />however, in the interim an Acting Clerk of Council is needed. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion appointing Donna Heath <br />as Acting Clerk of Council in Mrs. Maynard's absence. <br />Mr. Spellman said he understood Council was to receive an ordinance establishing <br />the rate of pay for the Clerk of Council and has not yet•received it. <br />Mr. Feneli said he brouglit copies of-the new ordinance with him and will <br />distribute copies to Council. He said until Council has had time to reyiew <br />the ordinance an Actirig Clerk is needed. <br />• Mr. Spellman asked Council President Busa to place the matter on the agenda <br />for the January 17 meeting.
