45 <br />MINUTES OF A COUNCIL BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING <br />Village of Mayf ield <br />March 21, 1983 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met as a Board of Appeals on Monday, <br />March 21, 1983 at 8:17 p.m. in the Village Hall. Council President, Vince <br />J. Busa, presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Busa, Carmen, Etzler, Spellman, Mrs. Bloom, <br />and Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent : Mr. Flynn (arrived at 8:23 p.m.) <br />Also Present Were Messrs., Amendola, Feneli, Hovancsek, Toth, Chief <br />Stevens, Sgt. Prygo, and Firefighter Porter <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Mr. Feneli said that two weeks ago the Planning and Zoning Commission made <br />a recommendation that Council grant_the following motion; "A motion to <br />amend the conditional variance granted by Council sitting as a Board of <br />Appeals on March 26, 1979 so as to allow 3,100 square feet of Building C in <br />Beta Office Complex to be used for medical off ice purposes subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1) Subject premises shall be limited to three primary care <br />physicians being defined for these purposes as a physician <br />who provides hands-on care, including but not limited to, <br />physicians who specialize in family practice, OB-GYN, <br />pediatrics, general surgery, general internal medicine, <br />and EENT. <br />2) Any surgeon performing on the premises shall be limited <br />to minor surgery. Minor surgery for this purpose is <br />surgery entailing minimal risk to the patient, performed <br />under local anesthesia and requiring a minimal investment <br />in time, material and expertise. Examples of such minor <br />surgery will include: removal of moles and warts, lancing <br />boils, release of blood from nailbed, etc." <br />Mr. Busa asked if Council had any questions for those representing Mr. Paris. <br />Mrs. Hanus said she understands Hillcrest Hospital will be the lessee. If <br />problems should occur she questioned if Hillcrest Hospital would help resolve <br />them. <br />Mr. John Leech said it is anticipated that if the variance is granted <br />Hillcrest Hospital will sign a lease with Julius Paris. They intend to <br />sub-lease the office space to three individual physicians. If so, Hillcrest <br />Hospital would respond to our problems.
