92 <br />Mr. Etzler asked to what extent Mr. Panzica would be willing to participate. <br />Mr. Panzica said he would be willing to discuss the matter. He would not <br />be willing to participate 100% in the cost of a signal. His amount of <br />participation would depend on where the signal was situated, if it was at <br />the entrance to his building the amount of his participation would be <br />greater than if it were.elsewhere. 'He would be willing to participate but <br />the amount of participation woul'd have to be determined at the time the <br />signal becomes necessary. Mr. Feneli asked the Engineer if it can be determined who contributes to <br />traffic problems. <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained an actual percentage of how much each company <br />contributes to traffic problems cannot be determined. A traffic study is <br />planned to be made this year at Beta Drive. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Etzler, made a motion that Council grant a parking <br />variance of one space per 200 square feet to Nacy Panzica for the Georgian <br />Center Office Building. <br />Mr. Busa asked if there was any discussion. <br />There was none. <br />Roll Calle AYES: Mrs. Bloom, Mr. Carmen, and Mr. Etzler <br />NAYS: Mr. Busa, Mr. Flynn, and Mrs. Hanus <br />, Mr. Busa explained his vote was due to his policy of not voting on important <br />issues when a member of Council was absent. <br />Mr. Flynn and Mrs. Hanus agreed. <br />Due to the tie vote,.Mayor Beebe was asked to vote. <br />Mayor Beebe voted AYE. He said due to the explanations given, and that this <br />variance was granted to others, and also.based on the recommendation of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission he would vote in favor of the variance. <br />Motion Carried <br />Variance Granted <br />Mrs. Bloom commented in the past things were not postponed because a member of <br />Council was not present. <br />Mr. Busa said it was his practice that he.would like to have all of Council <br />present when voting on issues such as this. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by.Mrs. Bloom, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
