80
Mr. Gross said he would be happy to research this but if a.member of Council
could endorse the project he feels it would bring a greater response to his
proposal.
Mr. Busa said he felt it would not be proper for it to appear Council was
supporting the idea when they have not yet make a definite decision to hold
a "Beta Days".
Mr. Carmen asked Mr. Gross if he would contact others on Beta stating that
Council is considering the possibility of such a sale and determine those who
would be interested. This would
require a great number of trees to be removed.
Mr. Hovancsek explained drainage flow and the method used-to determine ditch
size. He said the ditches were planned close to the street to minimize the
number of trees that would have to be removed. He cited that all trees shown
on the plans were not necessarily trees that would be removed. He would be
glad to meet with Mrs. Pumphrey and explain the matter further.
Discussion was.held regarding any possible way these plans could be altered
in order to save the trees. It was determined the plans could not be modified.
