11(? <br />Bid Opening for Street Striping - Mr: Hovancsek said two bids were received; <br />Pucel Enterprises at $11,965.69 and Neat=Line Company at $6,826.94. He <br />recommends the contract be awarded to the low bidder, Neat-Line. He suggests <br />when the work is done it be inspected to ascertain volume of paint used, etc. <br />Mayor Beebe asked if the Neat-Line Company has done work in surrounding <br />communities. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said they do most communities in the area; South Euclid, Mayfield <br />Heights,, and possibly Highland Heights. They are a large firm and are highly <br />qualif ied. The Village would be protected by a performance bond, as to quality <br />of work done. <br />Resolution 83-19, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO NEAT-LINE COMPANY, <br />INC.,IN THE AMOUNT OF. SIX-THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY SIX DOLLARS AND NINETY <br />FOUR CENTS ($6,826.94) AS LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE RESTRIPING OF DESIGNATED <br />STREETS IN THE MUNICIPALITY, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Hanus, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a.resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Spellman, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to adopt Resolution 83-19. <br />Mr. Busa asked if there was any discussion. <br />There.was none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS:. He has not yet received a reply. <br />Heights/Hilltop Interceptor Conference - Mr. Hovancsek reported he attended a <br />seminar at Daltons Daltons Off ice in regard to the condition of the sanitary <br />sewers in the easterly S.S.E.S. area. There is a need for the rehabilitation, <br />of existing sanitary sewers, there are some sanitary relief sewers that should <br />be installed, there is a revision in the initial proposed interceptor alignment <br />and the latest thinking of the Dalton Dalton group is that they wi11 install <br />some storm base and retention concepts. They would like al1 municipalities <br />cooperate and start to do an active rehabilitation of their existing sanitary <br />sewer system. <br />11 <br />
