109 <br /> <br /> <br />j <br />Senior Citizens Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa asked Mrs. Hanus to report on <br />the Picnic in the Park held July 14. Mrs. Hanus said everyone had a wonderful <br />time. The Bert Gordon Band was there, thanks to the Cuyahoga County Commissioners <br />grant, they played bocci and some cooked their dinner on the grills. <br />Mr. Feneli said he will be forwarding Mrs. Mikula a memo regarding charitable <br />bingo. <br />Special Projects.Committee - Mr. Carmen said he has received many replies <br />regarding Beta Days. Six or seven companies would Iike to participate. Since <br />this is a much better response than.in previous years, he would be in favor of <br />holdirig Beta Days if Council agrees, towards the end of August. He suggested <br />Mr. Feneli change the wording of Section 2a.1ndicating that those that agree, <br />it is not ma.ridatory. Mr. Feneli will correct the Resolution. Mr. Carmen also <br />suggested that Section 2b include the dates of Beta Days, suggesting it be <br />held the last weekend in August - 26, 27, 28. <br />Resolution 83-17, entitled; "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING '.'BETA DAYS" IN THE: <br />MT. VERNON CAMPUS PARK, ESTABLISHING TERMS AND CONDITIONS THEREFOR AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Beebe and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Busa asked if there'were any comments. <br />There were none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried. <br />Rules.Suspended <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Spellma.n, made a motion to adopt Resolution 83-17, <br />as'amended. <br />Mr. Busa asked if there.was any discussion. <br />There was none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Auxiliary Police Unit Presentation - Mayor Beebe said they wi11 report another <br />time.
