123
Mr. Feneli said all municipalities have been informed.on a phase.in procedure.
we will be responsible for our own roads, they are getting out of the road.,
business. They are behind schedule now.
Mr. Hovanc sek said the County has a skelton staff at the Green Road Yard
presently and will•be closing that yard in a.few years.
Mr. Feneli said the Assessment Equalization Board discus`sed.the ma.tter of the
County benef itting from the road which will be._reflected in.their minu.tes and
included in their. report to Council. The Assessment Equalization.Board has not
ma.de their report yet because the transcrip.t fr.om the meeting has not been
received. Requests have been received from Beech Hill residents for this
transcript and he wants them.to have.the opportunity to review it before the
Assessment Equalization Board.makes their report.
Mrs. Hanus said Mr, Fetzer.is requesting the ma.tter be explored and feels
we should make an.inquiry with the County.
Mr. Feneli said he will.talk.to the County about it. They are being assessed
a bigger share than everyone else. . . Mr. Busa said there has been c.onsiderable research on this. He suggested Mr.
Fetzer discuss this with Mr. Amendola,:Mr. Hovancsek,.and Mr. Feneli at another
time. Mr. Joseph Scaccia, 1013 Lander Road - said he has a problem regarding the mess
being made.on the school property at the rear of his yard. The backs of his and several of his neighbors properties were purchased.b.y the School.Board years
ago. They are building.soccer and softball f ields,. replacing fences, regrading,
etc. A parking lot is being put in one hundred feet away from his house which
wi11 create many problems for him. He thought the Village had a 300 foot buffer
zone. He has discussed this problem with many people, including the School Board,
and their business inanager, but_.has not received.an answer. He has questioned
zoning, permits, etc. and no one was able to give him.an answer. He has tried
to contact Dr. Stabile but has not been able to. Mayor Beebe wrote him a letter
stating.he looked into the matter and there is nothing the Village can do about
it because it is.school property. Mr. Scaccia explained how the.property was
sold and that his property line was not even with the others. He had wanted
to purchase 100 feet.of the property b;ehind.his house to make the lot even. At
that time two representatives told him the matter would be settled, after the
property was sold before anything would be done. Nothing was ever settled. .
Then he was told the School Board could not sell property, it had to put out
for bids. The property owners.understood there.wbuld be a 20 foot buffer in
the back with shrubs. One neighbor. was told they were going to forget the 20
foot buffer and put the shrubs up: against the fence.
Mayor Beebe said he talked to Mr.. Stabile of the School Board today and he is
aware of the problem. Their business ma.nager is present to discuss the matter.
Dr. Stabile told him it is a resident/School Board problem and they are willing
to build a buffer zone. Dr. Stabile said the School Board would be willing to
meet with a delegate from the property owners involved to discuss the problems.
