<br />? <br />? <br /> <br />L?J <br />Mr. Feneli said there is no 1aw in the State of Ohio prohibiting the sale <br />of cigarettes to minors. Helsaid the law had expired and had not been <br />renewed due to the lack of enforcement. Mayor Reebe has requested he <br />prepare an ordinance prohibiting the sale of cigarettes to minors in <br />Mayfield Village which he wi11 have for the March Regular Meeting of Council. <br />Hillcrest Council of Couricils'Meeting <br />Council President Spellman rleminded Council the next Hillcrest Council of <br />Councils Meeting is FebruaYy, 24. Discussion will be held regarding the <br />group purchasing of automoblles. He plans to attend along with Chief <br />Stevens and Vince Busa, andiinvited all Council members to attend as he <br />feels it will be a very wort?'hwhile meeting. The meeting will be at 7030 <br />p.m. at the Lyndhurst City iall Commun?_ty Room. <br />Mr. Busa said he felt it woild make a good impression if all of Council <br />attended. , <br />A Second Baseball Diamond <br />Mr. Amendola said we have many requests for our ball diamond from companies <br />on the Industrial Park. He asked Councils opinion of our charging these <br />companies to put money towar{ds a backstop and fencing. <br />Council President Spellman iaid Mr. Carmen will lie discussing this with <br />Mr. Scaccia. <br />Mr. Amendola said the appro7'imate cost of a backstop is $1,500.00 and the <br />approximate cost of fencinglwould be $1800.00 to $2,000.00. He stated <br />the Village would be responsible for maintaining the field.. The field would <br />still be available for our youngsters and leagues as the companies play <br />baseball much later in the season than we do. <br />Council to consider the thought and it will be discussed with the Recreation <br />ar.d Finance Committees. <br />Ordinances re snow on Village streets <br />Council President Spelltnan stated.that Council received copies of Ordinances <br />947 and 814 for there.is a need to revise them and they should be reviewed <br />by the Safety and Service Committee. Mr. Amendola to be given copies.of these ordinances. <br /> <br />Ten Year Municipal Plan <br />Council President Spellman stated he is in the process of working on the <br />framework of a ten year municipal plan which he feels is a good idea. <br />He plans to have this information in Councils packets by the end of the <br />month.
