<br />MINUT.ES OF THE"REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />March 15, 1982 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Regular Session.on Monday, <br />March 15, 1982 at 8:10 p.m. in the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Michael W. Spellman, presided. <br />Council President.Spellma.n stated that Mr. Carmen will not be present this <br />evening. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Busa, Etzler, Flynn, Spellma.n, Mrs. Bloom and <br />Mrs. Hanus . <br />Absent.: Mr. Carmen, Chief Stevens <br />A1sa Present Were. Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Feneli, Foltz, Hovancsek <br />Chief Hejcl, Mrs. Ruggles, and.Mrs. Maynard <br />Council President Spellma.n stated Mr. Carl Bohm of the Regional Planning <br />Commission is present this evening to make a presentation regarding.what <br />the Regional Planning Commission can do for,Mayfield Village. <br />Mr. Carl Bohm of the Regional Planning Commission stated the Commission has <br />been in existance for 34 years and expiained why the Commission was created. <br />He stated their two basic functions are to serve the County as a whole and <br />municipaTities. He explained some of the:things they have done for. <br />municipalities, such as providing local:planning assistance, reviewing the <br />census, etc. He said they are supported by voluntary memberships. They <br />have 45 member counties. He said he would be glad to answer any questions. <br />Council President Spellman asked how many Hillcrest communities are members. <br />Mr. Bohm stated that Mayfield Hts. was a member last year and explained why <br />several communities are not members. <br />Mr. Howard Schulz (of the audience) asked how many communities in the County <br />are involved with the Regional Planning.Commission. <br />Mr. Bohm stated there are 60 communities involved in the County. <br />Mr. Bohm passed out material to Council for their consideration. <br />Council President Spellma.n thanked Mr. Bohm for his presentation and stated <br />that membership with the Regional Planning Commission will be considered at <br />the next Finance Meeting.
