? <br />? <br />OPEN PORTION <br />There were no comments. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Special Meeting of Council - March 8; 1982 - Mr. Etzler stated at the end <br />of page f ive -"Discussion was held." should be after the motion to <br />advertise for bids on page six. <br />Mrs. Hanus stated on page seven - 6th paragraph from the bottom of the page - <br />should -'read'":..wh2n tfie County..."•not "State". <br />74r. Busa stated the first.paragraph on page seven should read "...asked <br />Mrs. Ruggles if.." not "'is". <br />Council President Spellman stated there being no objections, the minutes <br />will stand as corrected. <br />Council President Spellman stated this meeting is being taped asking if <br />there were any questions or objections. <br />Mrs. Hanus stated she did not see any point in tpaing meetings and she <br />feels people are hesitant to speak.their true feelings when they are <br />being taped. <br />Mr. Feneli stated this procedure is not out of the ordinary and the meeting <br />is only being taped for accuracy purposes to aid in repairing minutes. <br />Mayor Beebe said the meetings are open meetings and taping is for accuracy <br />purposes as stated by Mr. Feneli. He stated if there are any strong <br />objections from Council for a good specific reason, he will dispense of the <br />procedure at this time. <br />Mrs. Hanus stated her objection was that it has not been announced at all <br />meetings that the meeting is being taped. <br />Council President Spellman asked if the tapes are reused. <br />The Mayor's Secretary stated the tapes are reused. <br />Mrs. Hanus stated as long as the tapes are reused she only asks that an <br />announcement be made at each meeting that it is being taped. <br />There were no further comments. <br />MAYOR'S COMMEIVTS <br />Mayor Beebe stated that he is glad to be back from vacation. He said while <br />he was away he was in constant contact by phone and mail to keep up on <br />everything. He stated one of the things no action was taken on while he was <br />away was in reference to the traffic signal at Heinens. Mayor Beebe stated <br />an ordinance was passed five months ago awarding a contract to Traffic
