?? <br />' <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Street Striping <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported bids will be received on May 14 for the striping of <br />various streets in the Village. He said specifications will be filed with <br />the Clerk of Council this week. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated it is important that legislation be passed to allow <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation to asphalt from Sandalwood north to <br />the Lake County line, which they have scheduled to be done this year. <br />He explained that the funds the Village receives from the State for the 7%% <br />gasoline tax would be used for our share of the work. <br />Council and Mrs. Ruggles have.received a copy of sample legislation from the <br />Ohio Department of Transportation for consideration in the preparation of an <br />ordinance. <br />Mrs. Ruggles explained the money for this project must come from the State <br />Highway Improvement Funcl and our share to be paid to the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation would be $3,183.48. <br />Mr. Feneli to prepare legislation to authorize payment to the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation in the amount of $3,183.48. <br />Council President Spellman stated, per Mr. Hovancsek, a motion is needed by <br />Council to authorize the Clerk of Council to advertise for bids on street <br />striping to open on May 14. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated the bids would be advertised on April 22 and April 29 <br />and he will have a.report for the Council Meeting of May 17. The Clerk of <br />Council will receive the specifications this week for distribution. <br />Council President Spellma.n, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion to advertise <br />for bids for street striping. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Bid Bonds on Notes <br />Motion Carried <br />Bids to be advertised <br />Mrs. Ruggles said bids were opened for the sale of bonds for the Echo Drive <br />Improvement and Beta Dr3ve Sidewalks today. She stated three bids were <br />received, copies attached to the resolutions given.to Council. She stated <br />the Village received an "A" rating from Moody's Investors Service, Municipal <br />Research. Mrs. Ruggles suggested Council pass the two resolutions concerning <br />the sale of bonds. <br /> <br /> <br />
