<br />Purchase of a One Ton Dump Trucl? <br />Mr. Amendola stated the specifications have been prepared.for the purchase <br />of a one ton dump truck asking for Council's approval of the purchase. He <br />stated funds have been set aside for this and if the purchase was approved <br />now it could be advertised the same time as the street striping. ' <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Etzl'er, made a motion that the Clerk of Council <br />advertise for bids for a one ton dump truck. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS:. None <br />Street Repairs <br />Motion Carried <br />Bids to be Advertised <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated he has reviewed the streets in the Village with Building <br />Commissioner Gus Amendola and Service Director Les Foltz to ascertain the <br />street that is in.the most need of repair. He said he has.submitted a letter <br />to Mayor Beebe advising their.determination is Kenwood Drive. The estima.ted <br />cost of repair is $42,000.00. He feels Council should consider the allocation <br />of funds next year for. street repair. <br />Mr. Etzler stated he recalled the 5% income tax increase was to go into the <br />Capital Fund for street repair. . <br />Mrs. Ruggles stated no allocation has yet been made, the money would be <br />available at a given time - possibly in another several months. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated the plans could be prepared now and bids could be <br />advertised that specify when the work should be done. Normally work <br />should be done before school starts. <br />Council President Spellman stated the matter will be given to the Finance <br />Committee for discussion and he will put it on the agenda for Monday, <br />April 19 for further discussion. <br />Viacom <br />Mr. Amendola stated Viacom has made many incorrect installations for cable <br />television in the Village. He said they will not be permitted to continue <br />with the installations until they have corrected those installations <br />already completed. He said he will be checking each installation with a <br />Viacom Representative. <br />Mrs. Mikula asked Mr. Amendola if something could be done with regard to <br />the damage to trees, yards, etc. by Viacom installations.
