('l <br />Meeting of April 19th. Council President Spellman read the letter from <br />Mr. Gross in reference to his request to sell items out of his warehouse. <br />Mr. Carmen said Planning and Zoning met prior to this.meeting. Mr. Carmen <br />stated the_Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommends that <br />Council reject the proposal of Mr. Gross. He explained the matter was <br />discussed by the Commission several.times and they feel the Industrial Park <br />was not designed for retail sa1e, explaining.several problems that could <br />occur; their main objection being that it could set a dangerous precedent. <br />He stated Mr. Gross has extended an invitation to Council and Planning and <br />Zoning members to-visit their faeility. Mr. Carmen.said a formal recommen- <br />dation from the Planning and Zoning Commission.to Council.will be.forthcoming. <br />Council President Spellma.n stated.if there are no objections, there will <br />be a Board of Appeals Meeting April 19th at 7:45 p.m. He said at that time <br />Mr. Gross may make his presentation to Council, and a decision could be <br />made by Council in May. <br />Council agreed to this. <br />Senior Citizen Commissiori bn Aging <br />Council President Spellma.n stated Mrs. Mikula is preparing.a study on the <br />Senior Citizens Commission on Aging based upon.the surveys he sent ou.t. <br />He stated there will be a complete presentation on this next week. Council <br />President Spellman said he will be in touch with Dale Feneli to.prepare <br />legislation and it will be available for discussion by Council at the <br />meeting next week. He said he feels this is a.worthwhile project considering <br />response he has received. Council President Spellma.n said he sent Council <br />a memo stating his intentions which should be permanently bound into the <br />minutes. He explained the memo mentions attached information which will be <br />distributed when it is completely prepared. <br />Fencing of the Arco Prope'rty <br />Council President Spellman stated it is his understanding we are proceeding <br />with the fencing of the Arco property and that we are getting estimates. <br />Mr. Etzler stated at the Ma.rch 22nd Finance Meeting the Committee unanimously <br />agreed that Mr. Amendola should get prices per foot on fencing, however, <br />they did not recommend the fencing to be done.. <br />Mr. Amendola stated he received aii estimate of $3.00 per foot. He said <br />there is approxima.tely 300 feet of fencing and a two rail fence would be <br />approxima.tely $900.00, a three rail fence approximately $1,200.00. <br />Mr. Busa said he would strongly-urge Council to consider the fencing <br />explaining why he feels it is a good idea.
