As our'contract runs from May to May the
next bill will reflect the increase. He explained this additional money
has not been appropriated. Recent correspondence to Counc'il listed several
alternatives to accomodate the increase. He said Mr. Chapma.n has checked
several other insurance carriers and he reports they all have similar
increases planned. Mayor Beebe said he would like Mr. Chapman to attend
the May 17 Council Meeting to answer any questions Council may have.
Beech Hill/Beecher`s Brbok.'='Rbad'Repairs
Mayor Beebe stated Mr. Feneli drafted a sample letter regarding road repairs,
subject to Council's approval, to be sent to the residents on Beech Hill and
Beecher's Brook Roads. He asked for Council's opinion of the letter.
Mr. Busa and Mrs. Hanus said they would like to see the proposed letter sent
to the residents of those streets.
Mr. Carmen agreed, stating those receiving the letter will probably want to
discuss the matter and the sooner it is mailed the sooner we will receive
their response.
Discussion was held.
Council agreed Mr. Feneli should change the last sentence of the proposed
letter from "...feel free to contact'me.." to "feel free to contact the
Mayor and Council..".
Council President Spellman suggested that Mr. Feneli add to the letter that
Council Meetings are held the first and third Mondays and include the phone
numbers of Council members.
Mrs. Hanus said she does not think the phone numbers of Council should be
listed as different answers may be given. She feels they should be
encouraged to attend a Council meeting to discuss the matter.
Mrs. Hanus, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion that the letter, after
prepared by Mr. Feneli, be sent to the residents of Beech Hill and Beecher's
Brook.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Letter to be sent
j
