<br />Mr. Busa suggested the letter iilclude a date of a Council Meeting so <br />the residents would know when they could discuss.the matter with Council. <br />Council President Spellman said the residents of both streets could be <br />asked to attend the Council Meeting on the first Monday of June. <br />Mr. Etzler commented that.discus'sing both streets at the same time may <br />cause confusion, suggesting the residents of Beecher's Brook attend one <br />Council Meeting and the residents of Beech Hill anotherm <br />Council agreed that Mr. Feneli should prepare two letters, asking the <br />residents of one street to attend the Council Meeting on the first Monday, <br />and the residents of the other street to attend the Council Meeting on <br />the third Monday. <br />Ma.yor Beebe stated he was glad to see action was taken on this matter. <br />Security - Wiley Park <br />Mayor Beebe said he believes security is needed at Wiley Park during the <br />softball season to help children cross S:O.M. Center and for preservation <br />of the Park. The cost would be between $1,800.00 and $2,000.00 for the <br />season and would include security at the Flea Market and Village Days <br />functions also. <br />Mrs. Bloom feels security is needed,-especially to help the children across <br />S.O.M. Center Road. <br />The other members of Council concurred with Mrs. Bloom. <br />Mrs. Ruggles said funds will be available for security. <br />Senior Citizen Day <br />Ma.yor Beebe said he received a letter from the Governor suggesting Mayfield <br />Village issue a proclamation observing May 18 as Senior Citizens Day. Other <br />communities have issued proclamations. Mayor Beebe gave Council copies of <br />the Proclamation he had Mr. Feneli.prepare and read brief excerpts from it. <br />Council agreed the Proclamation was a good idea. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT' S CONIMENTS <br />Council President Spellman stated he had no comment. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Safety & Service - Mrs. Bloom reported the Safety & Service Committee met. <br />with Chief Hejcl this evening.
