J v.) <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING,OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayf ield <br />June 7, 1982 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session on Monday, <br />June 7, 1982 at 8:10 p.m. in the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Michael W. Spellman, presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Busa, Carmen, Etzler, Flynn, Spellman, Mrs. <br />Bloom and Mrs. Hanus , <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Beebe, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Det. Sgt. Smith, Mrs. Ruggles <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.was given. <br />Council President Spellman stated the Finance Director appointment and the <br />Beech Hill discussion will be the latter part of this meeting. He said he <br />would like to proceed with the Open Portion of the meeting, excluding comments <br />regarding the Beech Hill situation. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Mr. Robert Grogari,:480'Oak.tbn'Circle, stated he would like to bring up a <br />procedure adopted by previous Councils. (He served on Council for-four <br />years.) Each year a major street project was taken on, as decided by the <br />Building Commissioner. He said the first half of Hickory Hill was taken on <br />in 1978 - 1979. The second half of the project was to be completed.the <br />following year. This was never done, resulting in a bad situation. He <br />said now there doesn't seem to be ariy continuing program. He mentioned <br />a 5-10 gallon drum has been on the road in front of 477 Hickory Hill for <br />several months now. Recently, a rock has been added to cover the drain <br />there. He cited there has been money available for flowers, fences, etc. <br />and feels money should be appropriated for street repair. He asked that <br />Council address the situation, hoping their number one priority is to <br />finish the work to be done on Hickory Hill that was started several.years <br />ago. Council President Spellma.n stated the matter will be taken into consideration <br />and an extensive road repair program is being planned at this time. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting of Council'='May'17;'1982 - Council President Spellman <br />stated if there are no objections,, he wou.ld like to change the result of <br />the confirmation of the Mayor's Finance Director appointment, (page seven) <br />from "Motion Carried, Appointment Confirined" to "Motion Failed, Appointment <br />Not Conf irmed'r .
