i 4?
Mr. Carmen feels discussing iahat happened 50 years ago is counter-productive
to the situation that exists now. He said we need estimates as to the cost
of paving.
Mr. Etzler said the estimated cost was approximately $214.00 a homeowner.
Mr. Hovancsek said his last estimate was $3,000.00 a year for maintenance.
With 14 units of assessment, he verified the cost per year would be about
$214.00 a homeowner. That would cover one ditch cleaning job and two gradings.
Mary Ann Gblada, 927'Beecfi Hil1'Road.- asked when the holding tank on Beech
Hill was built.
Mr. Hovancsek said the construction of the holding tank began in 1973-1974,
and it was completed in 1975.
Mrs. Golada stated the road was not bad at all until after the holding tank
was built, the road seemed works. She said the worst part is from Glenview
to Bonnieview. She feels the road is dangerous to school busses, etc.
Mr. Carmen asked Mr. Hovancsek if the.figure he estimated included any share
paid by the Pumping Station.
Mr. Hovancsek said the Pumping Station will be paying for three units and
verif ied it was included in his estimate.
A resident asked how corner lots would be figured.
Mr. Hovancsek anticipated they would be figured as they were on the northerly
portion of Beech Hill and on Echo Drive. A corner lot with a driveway on
Beech Hill would be assessed a half unit. Those without a driveway on Beech
Hill would be assessed one fourth unit.
Mr. Carmen questioned if the same formula was used on the other street the
house faced. If.so, woul'd this cliarge be an additional amount or would that
property owner be paying a total assessment of less than 1%.
Mr. Hovancsek stated this assessment would be in addition as the property
owner paid a full unit on the street the house faces.
A resident asked if the $214.00 was for once or twice a year maintenance.
Mr. Hovancsek stated it was for.cleaning the ditches once a year and reshaping
and regrading twice. His estimate was an average and was made last year.
He feels once we get into an annual pattern they may be able to do some grading
for the same amount. Once a-bid is received, the actual cost could be determined.
He estimates the assessment per unit would be around $6,500.00, which after
interest added, could be spread over a period of 20 years.
