??4 <br />Council President Spellman, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to suspend <br />the rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there was any discussion. <br />There was none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Council President Spellman, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to gass <br />Ordinance 82-43, as amended. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there were any comments for discussion. <br />Mr. Busa asked that the statement regarding the June 17 Executive Session <br />be included in the minutes. <br />Council President Spellman stated a copy of the statement will be attached <br />to the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />(as amended) <br />Mayor Beebe administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Steven M. Toth. <br />OPEN PORTION <br /> <br /> <br />Council President Spellman a.sked that the Open Portion exclude comments <br />regarding Beechers Brook. <br />Mrs. Rita Mikula, 6232 Wilson Mills Road- said she would like to clarify <br />the informa.tion given by Mrs. Bloom at the last Council Meeting regarding <br />the Mayf ield.Heights Commission on Aging. She reported that the figures <br />Mrs. Bloom mentioned of $15.00 per month is the salary paid to their <br />Commission Members. According to tneir Finance Director the direct expenses <br />of the Commission are approximately $11,360.00 per year, not including <br />indirect expense_such as the portion of the salary of one of the Village <br />employees who devotes a great deal of her time to the Commission on Aging <br />business. She reported that Highland Heights pays their commission members <br />$35.00 per month._ -She said she was sure the Mayfield Heights F.inance <br />Director would verify these figures if anyone wished to contact him. She <br />said this was in regard to the request for the Commission on Aging in <br />Mayfield Village to receive some funds to start contacting the Seniox <br />Citizens and to start doing things for them.
