•? r r,' <br />t ? e? ?.,? <br />Council President Spellman stated there are ordinances on the agenda, <br />82-45 establishing a line item for the Commission on Aging of $500.00, <br />and 82-42 which wi11 be placed on second reading. Ordinance 82-42 is <br />for $4,000.00 to be appropriated to the Commission for this year which <br />Couricil President Spellman feels we can reduce to around $3,000.00. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Special Meeting of Council - June 7, 1982 - Mr. Bu-a made the following <br />typographical corrections: Page l; exlcud.ing should read excluding, <br />Page 4; must should read much, Page 6; regarding should read regrading. <br />Mr. Etzler said, on page 14, it states that the motion to send $500.00 <br />to the Commission_.on Aging was tabled, he feels we passed the $500.00 <br />to.the Commission.and tabled the ordinance for $4,000.00. <br />Council President.Spellman explained the motion was tabled for the $500.00 <br />and we established a line item for a Commission on Aging. Council then <br />appropriated.$500:00 which.Mr. Feneli stated must be done by Resolution. <br />Ordinance 82-42..was.put on first reading. <br />Council_President.Spellman stated, there being no objections, the minutes <br />will-stand as corrected. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />Mayor Beebe asked.Chief Stevens to acknowledge a gift received by the Police <br />Departmente <br />Chief Stevens stated he wouid like to thank Councilwoman Rochelle Bloom <br />for her $150.00 donation to the Crime Prevention Program after she attended <br />one seminar. <br />Mayor teebe said he would like to welcome those present in the audience. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Council President Spellman stated he had,no comments. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Safety and Service Committee - Mrs. Bloom said the Safety and Service <br />Committee will be meeting tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. so there is no report <br />at this time. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Etzler stated the Finance Committee met.on May 24 <br />and June 7th. Topics discussed at the May 24th meeting included the <br />different options available regarding the employee insurance increase <br />(Aetna), and consideration of hiring two more part-time police officers, <br />maintaining the 1,000 hour ceiling.
