Y
reviewed the insurance figures and determined the funds for the increase
are available. He reported money is available for road repairs for the
major contract of $42,000.00 and also for $18,000.00 for repairs throughout
the Village. Money is available from the contingency account for $4,000.00
to be appropriated to the Commission on Aging. The Finance Committee will
meet tomorrow evening (Tuesday, June 22) in the Police Department at 7:30 p.mo
Mr. Etzler.stated that Chief Stevens would like to order a new car for the
1'olice Department which was appropriated for at the beginning of the year.
He asked Chief Stevens to comment. -
Chief Stevens said originally two cars were appropriated for, and there is
a present need for the second car. He stated an ordinance needs to be passed
to direct the Clerk of Council to advertise for bids.
Mr. Flynn asked the approximate cost of a new car.
Chief Stevens stated the cost of the car just purchased was appzoximately
$10,000.00 after preparation. We will see what prices are submitted, in the meantime Chief
Stevens will investigate the demo car re the warranty etc. He said if the
demo car proved to be satisfactory the bids could be rejected and that car
could be purchased.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Bids to be Advertised
