<br />Tonight I would ask that we eulogize Bill Braun, a good friend and worthy <br />Councilma.n. A person of great integrity. May God.grant him eternal rest <br />in the hands of the Mightiest Tri-bunal man will ever come to know; <br />The Father - the Son - and the Holy Spirit". <br />Mayor Beebe reported earnings of approximately $2,000.00 for Village Days and <br />$900.00 for the Flea Market. He congratulated the Committee for their f ine <br />work. <br />Council President Michael W. Spellman arrived at this time. (8:14 p.m.) <br />Mayor Beebe stated there will be a brief executive session later during the <br />meeting to discuss several litigation matters. <br />The Mayor and Chief Hejcl will be conducting interviews for the hiring of <br />full time f iremen on Tuesday and Wednesday. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that five cards have been returned from the Mayor's Balloon <br />Race which was held during Village Days. <br />Mayor Beebe asked that Council consider the Beechers Brook and Beech Hill <br />problems as we need to get back to them with an answer. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Council President Spellman stated he had no comments. <br />ST6NDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Safety & Service - Mrs. Bloom said there was no report. <br />Finance - Mr. Carmen said the Finance Meeting scheduled for this evening was <br />cancelled. <br />Mro Toth said he had handed out two corrections to the Financial Statement. <br />Mrs. Ruggles had no comments. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Architectural Review Board <br />met on August 5th. They approved drawings for the solarium addition, a patio <br />enclosure, a detached enclosed swimming pool-addition and a detached garage <br />and workshop. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said that the Board of Appeals had met this <br />evening and had granted a variance for a fence at a residence on Lander Road <br />subject to acceptance by the adjacent neighbor. <br />r <br />?
