; 1 £ j /tl <br />Wage Discussions . Council President Spellman stated wage discussions will begin September 28 • <br />and asked that Council think of new ideas and that all attend. He asked Mr. <br />Etzler if he plans to have Department Heads or appointees attend this meeting. <br />Mr. Etzler said he asked the Mayor's Secretary to send a letter to the <br />representatives of all Departments asking them to attend the meeting. <br />Tipster Account Legislation <br />Council President Spellman asked if any progress has been made in reference <br />to the rules and regulations of a tipster program. <br />Mr. Feneli said he discussed this with Chief Stevens and they are contacting <br />the communities.that have similar programs to gather various guidelines. <br />They plan to have legislation for the Regular Meeting in October. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Monthly Financial Statement - August <br />There were no questions regarding the statement.' <br />Mrs. Ruggles commented the Department Heads are staying within the appropriations <br />for their Department. <br />Council President Spellman stated the Ken's Auto Body use permit renewal will <br />be on the October 4th agenda for discussion. Legislation can be drafted for <br />the October 18 Council Meeting. <br />Council President Spellman stated Mr. Busa requested an Executive Session to <br />discuss a few Charter ch.anges and if there are no objections he would like <br />Council to recess for an Executive Session at this time. <br />Mr. Etzler suggested the Executive Session be held after the Closing Comments <br />so the Department Heads and public would not have to remain.until the end of <br />the Executive Session. ' <br />Council President Spellman agreed with Mr. Etzler's suggestion. <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Mrs. Bloom commented the newly painted f ire hydrants look nice. <br />Mayor Beebe asked Council to excuse him from attending the Executive Session <br />as his wife is ill. <br />Mr. Etzler stated there is a drainage problem at the ball field fence from <br />the driveway to the backstop.
