" <br />1216 <br />Mr. Etzler said he realized tlie Regional Sewer Authority takes care of our <br />sewers but there is a serious problem in the Beech Hill area. Th e pumping <br />station is overflowing causing a terrible odor in the area. The problem <br />gets worse every year. Our Engineer estimates the problem could be taken <br />care of for $200,000.00. He understands the sewer authority has been turned <br />over to a Regional Board, and he thinks the County Commissioners has <br />representation on that Board. <br />Mr. Cody to discuss this problem with Mr. Hovancsek. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting of Council - August 16, 1982 - Council President Spellman <br />stated that the minutes should read August 16 (they were dated August 17). <br />He asked if there were any further corrections. There were none. Council <br />President Spellman stated, there being no further objections, the minutes <br />will stand as corrected. <br />Special Meeting of Council - September 7, 1982 - Mrs. Bloom stated on page <br />six, seventh paragraph.... "Mrs. Hanus said each Council member is a Representative <br />from a different organization..." was incorrect. Council agreed that "organization" <br />should be changed to "committee". Council President Spellman stated there being , <br />no objections, the minutes will stand as corrected. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />Mayor Beebe stated there is certain outstanding legislation he wants Council <br />to be aware of and asked his Secretary to comment. <br />His Secr.etary, Donna Heath, stated the following legislation is outstanding; <br />Ordinance 82-42 regarding the $3,000.00 for the Commission on Aging, Ordinance <br />82-53 regarding Time and Atten.tion and Resolution 82-64 to increase the speed <br />limit on Beta Drive. Also Ordinance 82-63 which is on tonight`s agendae <br />Mayor Beebe asked Councils consideration of a Resolution of Appreciation for <br />the retiring Director of the Ohio Commission on Aging, Mr. Martin Janis. He <br />read some of*the accomplishments of PZr. Janis as listed in the resolution. <br />Resolution 82-76, entitled; "A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO MARTIN A. JANIS, <br />RETIRING DIRECTOR OF THE OHIO COMMISSION ON AGING." Introduced.by Mayor Robert <br />G. Beebe. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Etzler, ma.de a motion to adopt Resolution 82-76. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there were any comments for discussion. <br />Mr. Busa asked that the resolution be Introduced by the Mayor and Council as <br />a Whole. <br />There were no objections and the resolution to be changed to read, "Introduced <br />by the Mayor and Council as a Whole."
