'- <br />Ordinance 82-84 given second reading. <br />Council.President Spellman stated this ordinance is pending discussion with <br />Mr. Toth. <br />Request for'New Police:Cars. <br />Council President Spellman asked.for Councils comments to Chief.Steven's request <br />for two new police cars to be advertised for at this time. <br />Mr. Etzler said three police cars are in the 1983 budget, and one car was <br />already purchased this year which was unappropriated for. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Council.President Spellman stated the Finance Committee will discuss this with <br />Chief Stevens-at their November 15 meeting and he will put it on the agenda for <br />the Council Meeting that evening. <br />N.E.O..R.S.. <br />Mr. Feneli reported he has been in touch with Mrs. Coleman. He recently <br />received a letter from her, cop.ies will be given to Council in.the Friday <br />packet. <br />Mr. Lou Cors.i is scheduled to meet with Ma.yor Beebe, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. <br />Amendola, and Mr. Schulte November 15, at 10:00 aom. at the Village Hall. <br />Fire Hgdrant Repairs <br />Council President Spellma.n stated two bids were received for f ire hydrant repairs <br />and replacement; one from Lake County Sewer, the other from A.R.I. Construction <br />Company. <br />Mr. Feneli said.the bids received were not specific because the specif ications <br />were not complete. A contract cannot be awarded if the amount of the bid is not <br />given. He recommended Council reject the bids. • <br />Mr. Rick Marucci from Lake County Sewer explained the specifications were not <br />accurate. He inspected each hydrant in the Village.with Chief Hejcl and found <br />that sizes of hydrants,etc. given in the specifications were incorrect. He. <br />reported there are f ive hydrants that do not work at all; only three were listed <br />in the specif ications. He prepared a list of things wrong with each hydrant. <br />He said normal procedure is that hydrants are repaired on a time and ma.terial <br />basis. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the specif ications must be uniform and he will work with <br />Chief Hejcl to prepare a new set of specifications.
