"No Parking" area for Community Room
Mrsa Bloom said Council action is necessary to designate a'.'no parking" area
around the Community Room.
Council President Spellman said he received a memo regarding that.
Mr. Hovancsek said he discussed this with Chief Stevens who would like to wait
for Mr. Amendola to.return from vacation before beginning any marking, striping,
etc. He said signs are posted and it would not hurt to wait an additional two
weeks for Mr. Amendola to return.
Council President Spellman agreed he would also like.to wait for Mr. Amendola
to return before anything is done.
Mrs. Ma.rtin commented that those using the Community Room are supposed to use
the school parking facilities and avoid use of the Village Hall parking area.
Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement
Mrs. Bloom said a decision has not yet been made concerning the traffic signal
' maintenance agreement. The original quote was made October 19 and they are only
good for 30 days. The quote from Traffic Control Products was $810.00 and Signal
Service quo.ted $996.85.
Mr. Etzler said there is some discrepancy as to the contracts such as what
boundaries they include and the ma.tter was to be discussed with Chief Stevens.
Mr. Feneli suggested Council.ask the companies to keep their bids open for another
20 days or so until the next Council Meeting. By that time Council should have
the answers to their questions and a decision can be made.
Mr. Hovancsek and Council agreed. Council President Spellma.n stated the ma.tter will be referred to the Safety and
Service and the Finance Committees for discussion with Chief Stevens. Council
can make their decision at the December 6 Council Meeting.
CLOSING COMMENTS
Mrs. Martin said Mr. Amendola asked that she make Council aware that he opposes
the purchase restriction amount of $750,00 as indicated in Ordinance 82-84.
Mrs. Martin questioned who would be notifying Mr. Paris about the Planning and
Zoning Meeting or asking him the questions.
Mr. Carmen said, as Council Representative for the Planning and Zoning Commission,
he will work together with Mr. Feneli on this, and they will be in contact with
Mr. Parise
