? <br />?.8 2 <br />Safety & Service -'Mrs. Bloom was absent, there was no report. <br />Finance - Mr. Etzler said the Finance Committee met December 13 and December <br />20. On December 13 the Finance Committee, Mr. Busa, and Pir. Flynn met with <br />the Village employee representatives. They presented to the employees <br />information on the financial status of Mayfield Village. He said their <br />presentation was well received and the employees understanding of the <br />Village's plight was appreciated. At the December 20 meeting, Mr. Toth <br />recommended total payment of the Arco note along with partial payment on <br />the debt for the Service Building. He reported the Finance Committee <br />recommends Ordinance 82-84 (limiting spending) be amended to read $2,500.00 <br />for appropriated and also $2,500.00 for unappropriated money,. Regarding the <br />radio console equipment, after discussion with both Chief Stevens and Chief <br />Hejcl, eliminating some of the equipment, would reduce the price from $99,000 <br />to $60,000.00. He has information for Council to revi.ew. The Finance <br />Committee feels further investigation is necessary. The Committee and Mayor <br />Beebe recommend maintaining.a status quo until July with the wage ordinance. <br />At that time the f inances will be re-evaluated and a wage ordinance committed to. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said there was no need for a meeting <br />this month. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no need for a meeting. <br />Community Room - Mrs. Hanus said everyone received the letter from Mayor Beebe <br />about the Christmas Tree sale cancellation. The trees received were of such <br />poor quality Mr. Scaccia did not accept them and it was too late to get trees <br />from another source, so.they gave up the idea. <br />Firemen's Dependents Fund - Mr. Flynn stated there was no report. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Council President Spellman stated there was no <br />report. The Hillcrest Council of Councils has not yet met this month. <br />Cemetery - Mr. Busa stated there was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Council President Spellman stated there was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Carmen said the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended to Council that the Paris variance request not be granted. A <br />decision will have to be made, the tentative date is set for the f irst <br />Regular Council Meeting in January on the third Monday. <br />Recreation - Mrs. Hanus said the Village children's Christmas Party was very <br />successful. The Recreation Committee members request that they be given <br />identification cards,which will enable them to receive discounts when making <br />purchases for the Recreation Committee and when asking for donations. Council <br />President Spellman asked for Council's comments. There were no comments. <br />Mayor Beebe will discuss the matter with Al Scaccia, Recreation Committee Director.
