<br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to pass Ordinance 82-84 <br />as amended. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there was any further discussion. <br />Mr. Busa said he feels the ordinance has merit because it puts more burden <br />on Council. <br />Rol:l Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />(As Amended) <br />Ordinance 82-87, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERM OF. OFFICE FOR <br />THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DECEMBER 31, 1983; ESTABLISHING TERMS, CONDITIONS AND <br />COMPENSATION FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by <br />Mayor. Beebe and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Carmen said he thought this ordinance was going to be discussed in <br />Executive Session as it is a personnel matter. <br />Council President Spellma.n asked if there were any objections from Council. <br />There.being none, he said it will be discussed in Executive Session. <br />Recodif ication <br />Mr. Carmen said the Planning and Zoning Commission will be discussing this <br />on January.6 and he will present their suggestions at the Regular Council <br />Meeting - January 17. <br />Police Cruiser Bids <br />Mayor Beebe said the bids came in from one source only, Deacons. He asked <br />that Council either accept or reject the bid. Mr. Busa suggested that Council consider the purchase of engines instead of <br />complete new cars. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Chief Stevens explained why this would not be feasible. <br />Resolution 82-97, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO DEACON'S <br />CHRYSLER-PLYMOUTH, INC. AS LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE OF TWO (2) POLICE CRUISERS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced <br />by Mayor Beebe and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Carmen, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />'-?
