STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board & Board of Appeals: Mr. Amendola said there was <br />no requirement for meetings this month. <br />Commission on Aging: Mr. Etzler noted several upcoming events. <br />Finance Committee: Mrs. Bloom said the committee met this evening. Discussion <br />Fras held regarding the sale of the bonds (ordinances to be voted on this <br />evening), the purchase of police cars, and the transmitter purchase. The <br />committee recommends the expenditure of up.to $5,000 for radio transmitter <br />equipment to Council. This is to replace the equipment that was destroyed. <br />Mrs. Bloom, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to authorize the expenditure <br />of up to $5,000 for the purchase of radio transmitter equipment for the Police <br />Department. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils: Mrs. Bloom said the group wi11 meet next week. <br />M.A.R.C.. There was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning: Mr. Basile said the Commission considered a one story <br />office building proposal on Wilson Mills Road, and a planning change regarding <br />the single family district zoning. (See P& Z min. 2/4/85.) <br />Recreation: Mrs. Bloom said Joyce Etzler was elected Chairperson again this <br />year. She will assist in putting together long range plans. <br />Safety/Service: Mr. Basile said there was no need for a meeting tonight. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Repowering of Pumper 613 - Chief Hejcl said one company came out l.ast week <br />to estimate the refurbishing of the pumper. The other company has not <br />responded to the letter he sent. <br />Mayor Carmen said we will keep contacting the other company until they come <br />out to give an estimate. <br />Weisberg Lawsuit - Mr. Etzler explained the zoning at the north end of the <br />Village by Highland and White Roads is being challenged. <br /> <br />91
