13 <br />OLD BUSINESS (Con't) <br />Weisburg Lawsuit (Con't) <br />Mayor Carmen said the Al1en Bradley Corporation wants to locate their <br />headquarters in the area Mr. Etzler just noted. They_have known this was <br />coming for a while but have not taken a stand-on it because they were <br />waiting for the Law Director to research the entire issue and give them . <br />his guidance. After recently receiving guidance from Mr. Feneli, he and <br />Council discussed this last week. They decided the single family residential <br />zoning was properly zoned such by the people in referendum zoning and <br />therefore will resist the challenge by Allen Bradley to that zoning. <br />Mr. Etzler said Council was; with the exception of Mr. Goley who has a <br />conflict of interest, united in;st:ance:•against the lawsuit. <br />Diversified Back Taxes - Mr. Feneli said the attorney working on the case <br />withdrew from the case and they now have new legal counsel. His motion for <br />summary judgement is still pending and he will be contacting the court to <br />request a pre-trial or an oral hearing. <br />NOACA Bike Path Grant - Mayor Carmen said they are checking the progress <br />of the last bike path grant they submitted to NOACA. They have re-submitted <br />a second application for 100% grant funds. He will keep everyone updated as <br />to the progress as soon as he is updated. <br />Lander Traffic Signal <br />There was no new update to be.reported. <br />Ordinance 84-42, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 501,999 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, REQUIRING CERTAIN INMATES <br />CONFINED TO PRISON, WORKHOUSE OR COUNTY JAIL TO REIMBURSE THE MUNICIPALITY <br />FOR ITS EXPENSES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF SAID CONFINEMENT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First <br />Reading was given 1/21/85.) <br />Ordinance 84-42 was given a second reading. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />New Police Cars - Mrs. Bloom said the Finance Committee discussed the <br />purchase of new police cars and further checked into maintenance costs, etc. <br />Repaving SOM - Mr. Hovancsek said he has not seen a cost estimate or the <br />plans yet for this project. <br />Appropriations for 1985 - Mayor Carmen said they are in the process of <br />reviewing the 1985 appropriation. He will be meeting with Department Heads <br />on Wednesday and next Monday, then revised appropriations will be prepared. <br />He would like to set a date for Council to meet to discuss the budget. <br />Date to be set later. .
