Introduced by
Mayor Fred N. CarmFn. (First Reading.3/18/85)
Ordinance 85-5 was given second reading.
NEW BUSINESS
Force Main Replacement on Wilson Mill_ Raad - Mr. Etzler said Mr. Flynn brought
this up-because of the proposed plans to repave Wilson Mills Road next year.
The force main replacement could be done in:conjunction with the repaving project
if the Sewer Board can be convinced to do so..
Mr. Flynn said he has discussed this with Mr. Hovancsek. The present pipe is
over 30 years o1d and it is deterioratin.g. He feels it would be best to replace
it while the road is already under construction.
Mayor Carmen said he has discussed this with the County and they are waiting
for the decision on the Hilltop Interceptor Sewer. They don't want to replace
the pipe if the problem will be taken care of by the interceptor.
Mr. Etzler pointed out that even if Mayfield Village were to receive the
interceptor, that it would not be completed for 10-15 years. By that time,
the road would be deteriorated again.
Antique Hearse Disposition - Mayor Carmen said the Fire Department is being
refurbished and one of the garages is being turned into office space. There
is no longer room for the antique hearse which is presently being stored in
the Fire Department. He checked with Mr. tailliams and Mr. Plastine of the
Mayfield Historical Society. They said they would like to keep the hearse
as part of the village's property and will search for a location for it. It
is being stored in the Service Department temp.orarily until a permanent home
can be found.
