i <br />?. 6, <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD - BOARD OF APPEALS - Mr. Foltz had no report. <br />CEMETERY - Mr. Goley reported that he received a notice that the annual <br />dues were due. He checked with Mr. Toth and was advised that tlie dues have <br />been paid. The only meeting they hold during the year is scheduled for <br />May 25. <br />Mrs. Bloom said she has received complaints about the maintenance of the <br />cemetery; (grass not being cut, etc.) <br />Mr. Goley will follow up on the matter. <br />COMMISSION ON AGING _ Mr. Etzler reported the results of the election- of <br />officers: Chairman: Howard Schulz, Vice Chairman: Katherine r2ocny, <br />Secretary: Shiela Hanus. He noted the upcoming events. <br />FINANCE - Mrs. Bloom said they met briefly this evening. Discussion was <br />held regarding the new reporting procedure Mr. Toth put together. <br />HILLCREST COUNCIL OF COUNCILS - Mrs. Bloom said they did not meet this month. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Etzler said there was no report. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING - Mr. Basile said they had discussed the Milstein <br />propoSal at their April meeting and Mr. Melstein was supposed to attend their <br />workshop meeting, but he did not. <br />RECREATION - Mrs. Bloom said softball season will begin in June. She said <br />that work on the ball diamonds was completed before the practice began. <br />There will be no jazzercise this year. <br />SAFETY AND SERVICE - Mr. Basile said they met briefly this evening to elect <br />officers. Mr. Basile was elected Chairman, and Mr. Goley; Secretary. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Hilltop Interceptor Sewer - Mayor Carmen said the last that we had heard <br />was that a decision would be made last week, but we have not heard anything <br />yet. Repeated attempts to contact the Ohio EPA have been unsuccessful. <br />Mr. Flynn commended the reporters from the New Herald and Sun Messenger <br />newspaper for their assistance to the issue through articles. <br />Mr. Etzler said that Mr. Gleisser had asked that the Village officials write <br />letter to the Governor's Office and call the Cleveland office, which he feels <br />might help. Mr. Etzler urged everyone to do this. <br />Weisberg Lawsuit - Mr. Orkin would not be present this evening. Mayor Carmen <br />will request that he attend the next meeting.
