<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />July 15, 1985 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met on Monday, July 15; 1985, at <br />8:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Richard C. Etzler, presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Ca'll: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Goley <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr, Feneli, Mr. Toth, Mr. Hovancsek <br />OPEN.PORTION <br />Mr. Pete Nickerson, 6705 Glenview Road, said in reference to the Michelle <br />Cleaners illuminated sign, he does not feel that sign looks nearly as bad <br />as the sign at Mr. Steak. He asked for justification. Mr. Etzler said that the P4ichelle Cleaners has been referred to as "neon <br />nausia". It is supposed to go o£f after business hours, per ordinance; and <br />it does not. He explained that Mr. Steak has recently had a change in <br />ownership. They were granted a 7-day sign permit. The sign must be turned <br />off by.10 p.m., and it wi11 be removed after the 7-day period. <br />Mr. Nickerson said he felt a precedent was estaUlished by granting the permit <br />to Mr. Steak. He asked how the?issuance of sign permits was determined. <br />Mayor Carmen said each request is dealt with on an individual basis. Permits <br />are granted based upon each particular need. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />IZeguTar Meeting of Council - June 17, 1985 - P'ir. Go1ey, seconded by Mr. Flynn, <br />made a motion to accept the minutes as written. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Minutes Approved <br />Special Meeting of Council - June 14, 1985 - Mr. Basile,-seconded by Mr. Flynn, <br />made a motion to accept the minutes as written. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Mintues Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARr1EN <br />Mayor Carmen stated,he would like Council°s approval of his appointment of <br />Ralph Tarsitano to the Civil Service Commission to replace Lou Davis who <br />resigned in December, 1985. He said Mr. Tarsitano has agreed to accept the <br />appointment.
