<br />Resolution 85-62, entitled; .'.'A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE MADTDATORY INCLUSION <br />OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES INTO.THE.SOGIAL SECURITY SYSTEM." Introduced <br />by Mayor Carmen:and Council as a Whole. Mr. Basile, Seconded by Mrs,. Mills,• made a motion to adopt Resolution 85-62. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All . <br />NAYS.: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Ordinance 85-18, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A POLICY OF "EMPLOYER <br />PICK-UP" OF EMPLOYEE-CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE VARIOUS OHIO PUBLIC EMPLOYEES <br />RETIREMENT SYSTEM, REPEALING.ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor.Fred N. Carmen. <br />Ordinance $5-18 was given first reading. Ordinance 85-19,.entitled; "AN ORAINANCE ESTABLISHING A SEPARATE FUND TO BE <br />KNOWN AS THE'"SEWER PLANNING & CONSTRUCTION FUND"; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />THE MAYOR AND D.IRECTOR OF FINANCE T.0 MAKE APPLICATIOD7 FOR THE'TRANSFER OF, <br />FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF CLEVELAND TO MAYFIELD VILLAGE; AUTHORIZING THE'DIRECTOR <br />OF FINANCE TO OBTAIN-APPROVAL FOR THE CREATION OF SAID FT3ND FROM THE BUREAU <br />OF.INSPECTION OF THE STATE OF OHIO; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced <br />by Mayor Fred N. Carmen. <br />Mr. Etzler.explained this ordinance is requesting funds from the City of <br />Cleveland that were held in escrow for residents of the Village amounting to <br />$21,000. If we.pass this:ordinance this evening, the money will come to the <br />Village sooner. _ <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion"to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring an.o.rdinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, and P•4rs. Mills <br />NAYS: Mr. Goley Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by 14r. Basile, inade a motion.to enact Ordinance 85-19. <br />Mr. Gol:ey askedrtaliy the residents on Joyce• and Hemingway were not included <br />since they were in that area. Mrs. Mills explained.that they had -sewers. <br /> <br />Mr. Goley said the ordinance says that the furids will be used to benefit the <br />residents who contributed. He asked if it could be placed on rirst reading <br />until after the residents of Worton Park held their homeowner's association <br />meeting, so we could get:their input. <br />Mr..Goley made a motion to table Ordinance 85-19 until after the Worton Park <br />Homeowner's meeting. <br />There was no second to the motion.
