RM
Mayor Carmen said when the job of Coordinator began, that person only handled
Commission on Aging matters.. The original task has grown so much that he
feels the position should be compensated. The coordinator handles the flu
shot program, the surplus food program, and work on grant programs as well.
He said the present coordinator has worked long and hard without compensation.
Mr. Howard Schulz, 450 SOM Center Road, Acting Chairman of the Commission on Aging-
said he wanted to thank this administration and the past administration and our
liaison personnel for the fine cooperation extended to the commission. He is
aware of the amount of hours Mrs. Mikula expended and knows that is.has developed
into a sizeable project. He was also upset over the article, which he does not
feel is justified.
Mr. Howard Schulz - said he has requested for three administrations that something
be done about the.flooding at the end of his driveway. The sewer line has been
ruptured where the water line was extended. He asked whose responsibility it was
to open the catch basins on SOM Center Road.
Mr. Hovancsek said the Highway Departinent has been assisting with maintenance,
but they have not been doing work on catch basins for years. Several years ago
the Service Department opened the inlets on SOM Center Road. He does not know
when that was last done.
Mr. Etzler asked if it was the Village's responsibility to do this.
Mr. Hovancsek said it is Village responsibility.
Mayor Carmen said he will advise the Service Department to take care of the
problem. Mr. Howard Schulz - said he feels meter readers should have marked cars. He
asked if the Village could do something or if he should discuss the matter
directly with the companies.
Mr. Etzler suggested Mr. Schulz contact the companies directly to convey his
problem.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Regular Meeting of Council - 10/21/85 - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Mills,
made a motion to approve the minutes.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None .
