<br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN (Cont.) <br />Mayor Carmen said he met earlier this evening with Mr. Amendola, Mr: Hovancsek, <br />and Mr. Feneli to discuss the SOM Center Road drainage problem. They <br />determined that the repair work is Village responsibility and needs to be done. <br />They have received an estimate of $3,900 to complete the necessary work, and <br />plan to get two more bids. <br />Mr. Amendola clarified the location of the 2,400 ft. area to be repaired. <br />Mr. Go1ey asked why,_since SOM Center Road is a State road, that it is the <br />Village's responsibility to maintain. <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained that we receive monies from the Highway Department and <br />it is our obligation to maintain those roads. Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to' approve the expenditure of <br />up to $3,900 for the repair work to be done on SOM Center Road. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT ETZLER <br />Mr. Etzler said he would like to amend the agenda to include Ordinance 85-26 <br />and Resol.ution 85-73. ° <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Feneli said there will be a short Executive Session following this meeting <br />to discuss litigation matters. <br />Mr. Amendola said that because of the weather they were unable to complete the <br />leaf collection as planned. It was completed later than anticipated; but is <br />completed for this year. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board- Mr. Amendola reported on their November 21 meeting: <br />Three new single-family dwellings were approved in Aintree North, a new sign <br />for Euclid Industries was approved and the Transcon office sign mounding was <br />approved with the condition that the culvert be changed to grade level. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a.meet.ing. <br />Cemetery - Mr. Goley reported that Mrs. Riedel has contacted a sign company <br />that would repaint the cemetery sign (instead of replacing the sign.) <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said their Christmas Party, held Decemb.er 14, <br />was very successful.
