<br />Police'and Fire Increase in Personnel - Mr. Etzler said at the last Caucus <br />the Mayor and.Council discussed increasing personnel in both departments but <br />came to no conclusion. He said apparently the Mayor was misquoted in the <br />News Herald the week befor.e last. He said that a decision wi11 be made in <br />the next several months regarding the increases. <br />Hanus Property Drainage - Mayor Carmen said Mr. Hovancsek will be writing a <br />letter on this which will be copied to Council. The solution seems to be the <br />installation of a larger pipe on the Hanus property, which is the responsibility <br />of•the property owner. <br />Ordinance 85-24, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 131.04(b). OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, AS ENACTED IN ORDINANCE N0. 83-19, <br />SO AS-TO PERMIT MEMBERS OF THE CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO HOLD OTHER. <br />MUNICIPAL APPOINTED.OFFICE BUT NOT OTHER MUNICIPAL ELECTED OFFICE." Introduced <br />by Mayor Fred N. Carmen. <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to,be read on three separate occasions. Introduced by Mayor Carmen, <br />and Counci.l as a Whole. <br />Mr. Etzler said there was a comparative study put together by Councilman-elect <br />Petschauer, which was distributed in the Council packets Priday. In reviewing <br />this study, he noticed other communities were quite a bit different from <br />Mayfield Village. He asked Council for their opinion on whether they would <br />like to vote on the ordinance tonight. Mrs. Mills said she feels Council needs to do more of a study on this. <br /> <br />Mr. Basile agreed. Ordinance 85-25 was given first reading.
