16 Joan Pumphrey,.893 Beech Hill Road - stated the drainage on Beech Hill has not been taken care'of and the road is becoming more dangerous each day. She feels something should be done to take care of the pxoblem. Discussion was held. Council agreed something should be done and authorized Mr. Amendola to research the cost of temporary maintenance to be done prior to paving to help alleviate the problem. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES Regular Meeting of Council - January 16, 1984 - Mr. Etzler asked Council if there(were any corrections. There being none, he said the minutes will stand as read. MAYOR'S COMMENTS Mayor Carmen reported a police car was recently involved in an accident and the estimated cost of repair is $2,700. The car was scheduled for replacement later this year. He asked Council to consider the options; either replacing the car now or investing the money for repair. This was discussed at the Safety and Service Meeting held earlier this evening. Their recommendation to Council was to purchase a new car. Discussion was held. Council felt a new car might be more feasible than repair and agreed the cost of a new..car should be looked into. Mayor Carmen said the Mayfield Chamber of Commerce met last week. If everything goes right, Mayfield Village is going to become a member and the organization will then become the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce. He will keep Council posted.of the progress. He noted.he will be meeting with Marie Coffey of Viacom Wednesday, and will advise Council of the discussion. COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS Mr. Etzler had no comments. DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS There were no reports. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board approved a new single family dwelling in the Airitree area and a new occupancy in Beta Center at their last meeting.
