16 <br />Joan Pumphrey,.893 Beech Hill Road - stated the drainage on Beech Hill has <br />not been taken care'of and the road is becoming more dangerous each day. <br />She feels something should be done to take care of the pxoblem. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Council agreed something should be done and authorized Mr. Amendola to research <br />the cost of temporary maintenance to be done prior to paving to help alleviate <br />the problem. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting of Council - January 16, 1984 - Mr. Etzler asked Council if <br />there(were any corrections. There being none, he said the minutes will stand <br />as read. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />Mayor Carmen reported a police car was recently involved in an accident and the <br />estimated cost of repair is $2,700. The car was scheduled for replacement <br />later this year. He asked Council to consider the options; either replacing the <br />car now or investing the money for repair. This was discussed at the Safety <br />and Service Meeting held earlier this evening. Their recommendation to Council <br />was to purchase a new car. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Council felt a new car might be more feasible than repair and agreed the cost <br />of a new..car should be looked into. <br />Mayor Carmen said the Mayfield Chamber of Commerce met last week. If everything <br />goes right, Mayfield Village is going to become a member and the organization <br />will then become the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce. He will keep Council <br />posted.of the progress. <br />He noted.he will be meeting with Marie Coffey of Viacom Wednesday, and will <br />advise Council of the discussion. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Mr. Etzler had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />There were no reports. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board approved a new single <br />family dwelling in the Airitree area and a new occupancy in Beta Center at their <br />last meeting.
