61 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Cotton Sewer Problem - Mr. Amendo.Ia said he and Mr. Hovancsek studied the <br />situation and decided it would be best not to start work on the yard until <br />after the wedding that is planned there in August. The grnund should be <br />firm by that'time and tlie equipment can be brought in to make the necessary <br />. repairs. . <br />Discussion wa's held regarding problems that occurred sev'eral'"years ago. It <br />was elarified that this is a new problem and has nothing to do with the <br />previous problems.. <br />" Tu.rning Lane - SOM/Highland - NIr..Goley said he would like this matter reviewed <br />at the next Safety and Service Meeting or Caucus. <br />Mayor Carmen said the cost for this was expected to be about $2,500.00. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the mast,recent bid received was approximately $4,500.00. <br />Mayor Carmen said the expenditure has already been approved: <br />Jail Standards - Chief Stevens.presented Mayor Carmen and Mr. Feneli with a <br />copy of the new.jail standards given to.him.by State Jail Inspector, Melda <br />Turker. <br />Ordinance 84=,29, entitl;ed; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 521.10 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES'OF.MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO TRASH PICK-UP.ANV bECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by.Councilwoman Rochel.le M. Bl.obm. Third-Reading. <br />This ordinance is still being discussed by the Safety and Service Committee. <br />Mrs. Bloom, seconded by Mr. Etzler, inade a motion to tabl.e Ordinance 84-29. <br />Roll Call: AYES: 'All <br />NAYS: None Ordinance 84-31, entitled•, "AN ORDINANCE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />PROPERTY HELD BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT." <br />Carmen. Second..Reading. <br />Motion Caxried _ <br />Oxdinance Tabled <br />CREATING SECTION 139.04 OF THE <br />DEALING WITH THE DISPOSITION OF <br />Introduced by Mayor Fred_N. <br />Mr..Basile said any monies received from properties-held by.the Police <br />Department should be used for additional training for the Police Department, <br />range training, etc. He felt this should be included 3.n the ordinance: <br />Mr. Basile said Mr. Basile's suggestion will be discussed at the next Caucus. <br />Ordinance 84-31 was given second'reading.
