80 <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS (Cont. <br />Mayor Carmen said Council President Richard Etzler was not present due to <br />the death of his.mother. He noted the funeral arrarigements. <br />Mayor Carmen said Finance Director Steven Toth was not present because he <br />was.on his honeymoon; he was married Sunday evening. <br />Village Days Expenditures - Mayor Carmen reported the figures are still <br />being compiled and a full report should be available by the next meeting: <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Feneli said he will be attending a pre-trial Wednesday at 2.p.m. on the <br />action iniated by the Village to collect from D.I.C.E. Mr. Santoiemmo no <br />longer has legal counsel and will be representing himself. Mr. Feneli will <br />report on this at the next meeting. <br />There were no other reports. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board & Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola reported there <br />was no requirement for meeti,ngs this month. <br />Commission on Aging - There was no report since Mr. Etzler was absent. <br />Finance - Mrs. Bloom said the meeting was postponed. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Bloom said they are on summer break. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Goley said there was no repbrt. <br />Planning,and Zoning - Mr. Basile reported the following items were handled <br />at their August 6th meeting: <br />Van Curen Property - Properly zoned for local business use. <br />Allied Beauty Products (Beta Center Complex) - Permit will be issued <br />if agreement is reached re: parking of trucks. <br />Ambulatory Service - Request for occupancy at 600 Beta Drive denied <br />because a portion of the building would be used for a dormitory and <br />vehicle storage. <br />Mr. Steak Temporary Signs - Future requests will be denied due to <br />imp.roper procedure followed in the.past. <br />Mounding at Aintree North - Mayor Carmen already discussed this. <br />Recreation - Mrs. Bloom reported the Mayfield Village 5 Mile Run will be <br />September 23 at 9 a.m. It is sponsored by Tony Roma's. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Basile reported on the following: <br />Trash Ordinance.- No changes necessary. <br />Chief Stevens - To obtain prices on safety vests. ' <br />Police Lieutenants - Not necessary since Sergeants current perform <br />these duties. <br />Police Department Remodeling - Not being done at this time.
