91 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />. September 17, 1984 <br />The Council of the Village of May£ield met in Regular Session on Monday, <br />September 15,.1984, at 8 p.m.- in the Council Chambers at the Village Ha11. Acting Mayor, Ri.chard C. Etzler, presided, <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the F1ag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mrs. Bloom, Messrs., Basile, Etzler, Flynn, and.Goley. <br />Absent : Mayor Carmen <br />A1so.Present Were : Mr. Amendola, Mr. Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Toth, <br />Chiet Hejcl; and Chief Stevens, <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Barbara Jensen, Co-President of the Mayfield Village Garden Club, expressed <br />the concern of the Garden Club.about the mai.ntenance of the plantings surrounding <br />the Community Room, They are also concerned about the neglect of a summer <br />•'maintenance program in other areas of the community as well. The Garden Club <br />has made substantial contributions to the Vil.lage. They hope the problems will <br />be taken care of now that they have brought them to Council's attention. She <br />also mentioned that considerati.on should be given to pl.ant3.ngs on the corner <br />that was formerly the Arco property. <br />Mr. Etzler explained the cut-backs, in summer help and..the absence of the Service <br />Director due to health problems that took place in the Service Department this <br />summer,. He said that everyone,worked hard preparing fox an expanded Village Days <br />tliis year. He realizes that everyone has noticed tlie areas. that have not been <br />kept up as they were in the past, but there was not sufficient help or time to. <br />do everything. He thanked Mrs. ,Jensen for everything the Garden Club has done <br />for the Village and expects to clear up these problems.soori..._ <br />Mr. Amendola said the Service Department will be.taking care of.these problem <br />areas as soon as possilil.e. He feels that plans for pl.aritirigs on the. Arco corner <br />should be.held up until the gazebo is built. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Meeting of Council - August 20, 1984- Mr. Basil.e, seconded by Mrs. <br />Bloom, made a motion to approve the minutes. _ <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved
