MINUTES 0F THE REGTJLAR N1EETING' OF ' COUNCIL <br />October 15, 1984 <br />Mayfield Village <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Regular Session on Monday, <br />October 15, 1984, at 8:07 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. <br />Council President, Richard C. Etzler, presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mrs. Bloom, Messrs., Basile, Etzler, and Goley. <br />Absen:t : Mr. Flynn <br />A1so.Present Were . Ma.yor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Fene13., Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Mr. Toth, and Acting Chief Posatiere. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />' Mr. Dennis Rash, 823 Beech Hi11 Road, expressed his views on the Hilltop <br />Interceptor Sewer Project and thanked Mrs. Bloom and Mr. Etzler for their <br />efforts regarding this project. He commented..on the condition of the roads in the Village, expressing <br />appreciation to Council for their efforts. <br />Mr. Etzler thanked Mr. Rash for his comments.and noted that Mayor Carmen had <br />written a lengthy letter to the Governor concerning the sewer issue. <br />Unfortunately, Mayor Carmen was unabl.e to attend the meeting that was scheduled. <br />Mr. Beck, 746 Kenwood Drive, suggested the Village notify residents of the <br />increased vandalism in the Village. He said he has noticed people walking <br />down the street smoking pot and he feels something should be done. <br />Mayor Carmen said the Village is trying to increase the awareness of citizens <br />through the Neighborhood Watch Program and Homeowner's Associations. He urged <br />Mr. Beck to contact the Police Department in the future if he notices a problem <br />such as the one he mentioned. Response time anyplace in the Village is under <br />two minutes. <br />Mr. Beck said he received a call about an alarm that went off on Oakwood. <br />Whi1e calling to alert one of his neighbors, the line went dead. He said <br />he went to the front door and yelled for help and two Mayfield Village <br />plainclothes men came up his driveway with a police dog. He explained his <br />problem to them and they assured him that.his line was not cut. <br />Mr. Etzler thanked Mr. Bec1c for his comments. <br />There were no:other comments from the floor.
